Lopinavir/Ritonavir tablets are a compound preparation of two drugs, lopinavir and ritonavir, both of which are viral reverse transcription inhibitors, of which lopinavir is the main drug. Protease binding makes the resulting virus particles immature and non-infectious; while ritonavir can inhibit the metabolism of lopinavir in the liver, thereby increasing the blood concentration of lopinavir and exerting a synergistic effect.
