D-panthenol is a colorless viscous liquid or a colorless transparent liquid with a slight peculiar smell. Easily soluble in water, ethanol, methanol and propylene glycol.

Dexpanthenol (D-panthenol) is also known as original vitamin B5. It is widely used in medicine, food, cosmetics and liquid preparations. D-panthenol can be converted into pantothenic acid when entering the human body, and then synthesize coenzyme A, promote the metabolism of human protein, fat and carbohydrates, protect skin and mucous membranes, improve hair luster, and prevent the occurrence of diseases.
