Composition
1. Polysaccharides
The content of polysaccharides in Antrodia camphorata at the fruiting body stage is not high, about 2%, which is the same as the polysaccharides contained in general edible and medicinal straw mushrooms. 2. Terpenoids
Triterpenoids are the most commonly found terpenoid chemical components in Antrodia camphorata fruiting bodies, and are generally considered to be the main source of bitter components in Antrodia camphorata extracts. Among them, as many as 10 newly discovered triterpenoids are unique to Antrodia camphorata. Experiments have confirmed that these triterpenoids can inhibit the proliferation of liver cancer cells, poison P-388 murine leukemia cell activity, and resist parasympathetic nerves.
